Pleasant Grove’s Food Pantry is available to anyone in need. The purpose of the Food Pantry is to provide “short-term” food aid to persons in need in our community. Distribution is made on the last Wednesday morning of each month from 9:45am to 11:45am.

Whom do we help?

Anyone in our area who comes to the Food Pantry for the first time with proper identification will be given food. Food distribution to an individual or family is limited to no more than once a month.

What are the Food Pantry’s resources?

Our biggest resource is from our church members and surrounding community churches: Hasty Baptist,  Zion United Church of Christ and other community churches.

How can you help?

The need for this program is very great. You can bring food items to the church during regular business hours Monday – Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm.

The food pantry is always in need of the following items: – peanut butter, complete meals, soups, cereal, tea, dry milk, jello, spaghetti sauce, macaroni and cheese, crackers, 1 lb. bags of rice, dried beans, toilet paper, canned meats, jelly, etc. We also need items such as shampoo, laundry detergent, and soap. (Please keep in mind that the size of the products brought in should be standard. Gallon cans or larger packages of goods are not practical for our distribution)

With your help, the Food Pantry can maintain a desirable inventory of foods and continue to render a service necessary to our community.
