Easter Day at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church

Easter will be here on April 9th this year. Mark you calendars now for the services and events on Easter Sunday.

Start your Easter Sunday morning at our Sunrise Service at 7:00 am in the sanctuary. If weather permits we will complete the service in the cemetery beside the church.

Join us in the  KCLC at 8:00 am for a light breakfast. This will be a nice time to meet and fellowship with others.

Please bring some cut flowers for us to decorate our Resurrection Cross on Easter morning. Bring them to the sanctuary and decorate the cross at the Altar. Thanks for your help.

Then join us in the sanctuary for Sunday School at 9:30 am and Easter Worship Service at 10:30 am. He is Risen.

Easter Cantata

Our Chancel Choir will present a beautiful Easter Cantata on Palm Sunday, April 2, 2023 during our regular Morning Worship Service at 10:30 am. Please mark your calendar now for this worship service.

Ash Wednesday Service

Please join us in the sanctuary for our Ash Wednesday Service, February 22, 2023 at 7:00 pm.

About Ash Wednesday and Lent

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent. Lent is a time when many Christians prepare for Easter by observing a period of fasting, repentance, moderation and spiritual discipline.

Ash Wednesday emphasizes two themes: our sinfulness before God and our human mortality. The service focuses on both themes, helping us to realize that both have been triumphed through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Outdoor Worship Service

We will have our first Outdoor Worship Service this Sunday July 5, at 9:00 am.

Please bring your own lawn chairs. We will social distance from each other at least 6 feet. Families may sit together. Wearing a mask is requested due to the State Mandate. If not, we ask you to distance further than 6 feet. If you do not have a mask, one will be available.

Seating will be behind the church, marked with orange cones. Parking will be in the lot outside Pastor John’s office and you can walk thru the connecting overhang.

One external door will be propped open to enter the KCLC for restroom use in emergencies. Bathroom doors will be propped open to keep touching surfaces to a minimum. Only one person in the restroom at a time please. Be courteous and go before you come!

This process is new to all of us, so please be patient and we’ll get this thing figured out.

Leadership Team

Please Pray For Our World and Community

Our Father who art in Heaven. Hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever.
Amen.

Let’s all pray together. The power of prayer is amazing!

I pray that all my family and friends are kept safe in these very scary times. Also watch over health care workers as they work tirelessly to protect their patients. AMEN
